I have not updated this blog for almost one year. The following is a bit update of myself:

I have married with Mary for almost one year :D

I have received my PhD in Mechanical Engineering.

I have lived in Tung Tao Court for about half year.

I am actively finding different kind of jobs. What will I do? Which field should I work for? Environmental? Building Service? Finance? Chemical? Life is still uncertain....

I may study CFA level 2 for fun if I have time.

I will learn hair cut.

On 13-11-2008, this was the day before I went to choose house. I discussed with my wife and my parents which house should I buy. Then, I made a priority list. This was because if someone brought our dream flat, we need to consider another choice. Below was our priority list:

We total considered 72 choices, although we did not expect they would all sell out before our turn to select. Beside, we also decided that we would not buy if they were really all sold. Since I did not want to buy a flat either facing to the wall or the other buildings. For effectively removed the flat that would sell out, I also prepared the following list:

Block A

Block D

We arrived at about 9:45am., we quickly watched the TV and checked what house has been sold. We almost stood there for an hour and continuously checked, this was very exciting.

Since our priority was 2610, at about 11am, we entered a room and watched a short movie. This movie was about the procedures of selling house. During watching, we still continuously checked what have been sold. Since there were only a few people would buy in this round, the staff allowed my parents entered the room as well.

Next one is WE; TV everywhere !

Fianlly, we choose Block D, 35/F, Flat 3. This is our first choice ! Before our section, someone had brought flat 3 also. Lucky, the one who selected 38/F gave up yesterday. So, the one before us choose 38/F. Otherwise, we will need to select either 34/F or 32/F !

So, this is still our first choice! After the section, we went to "drink tea" and asked information about mortgage. We hope they approved our application asap. However, we still do not know when can we get the key and take a look on our flat and what kind of view we can see from our flat! Can these questions be solved before this year?

Choose house on 14 Nov

I have received letter on 7 Nov. and confirmed that we will choose house on 14 Nov.

Today (8 Nov), my whole family went to take a look on those flats. Finally, we decide to choose block D. This is because the quantities such as the material used are better than block A. I hope we can buy a good flat. This is the most expensive thing I buy in my life......so far.......

Tomorrow, I need to run the simulation at home for chapter 9.

Yesterday, I went sailing with my wife, paklun and ming, quite tired, but with strong wind and typhone number 1, very good.
